DIGITAL CINEMA STUDIES
Luis Petzhold has been working for the last few years on what is called "Digital Revolution", which is changing the ways that audiovisuals are being produced, opening more fields in the area of video and new technologies. He is focusing on how to produce as much as before, keeping the quality but with less cost.
He has coordinated

Technologies", held at the 4th Brazilian Film Congress
"The Digital Cinema Seminar", held at The Dragão do Mar
Institute

at the 4th. Curta-SE.
He has also
coordinated workshops for the Rio de Janeiro Tour of RESFEST (Digital Film
Festival)
and has been a lecturer for the following events:

"The Brazilian Film Market Seminar - New Technologies &
Digital Cinema", held at the 2nd. Curta-SE
"The Brazilian Cinema Seminar - Preservation & Digital
Cinema", held at the 3rd. Curta-SE
"The Apple Road Show", held in Rio de Janeiro
"The Digital Cinema & Digital Video Technologies
Seminar", held at the 30th Film Festival of
Gramado.
Among several
activities in that field, he has been visiting meetings, seminars
and workshops, such as:
NAB (National Association
of Broadcasters), held in Las Vegas
DVExpo, held in New York
DisplayLA and HDExpo, both held in Los Angeles.
He has taught at The Federal Fluminense University (UFF) Film Course, on "Special Topics in Film and Video - Digital Cinema", as well as at The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), both for The Ergonomic and New Technology Research Unit of The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (GENTE/COPPE) and for The School of Engineering, including courses such as "Video for Ergonomics" (Graduate) and "Video for Work Safety" (Undergraduate).
